  • Don’t be fooled by the cute little houses and videos. The internet Caboodle Ranch is nothing like the real world Caboodle Ranch. Numerous witnesses have reported seeing the majority of cats sickened with illnesses, diseases, injuries, and parasite infestations. The living facilities are filthy and smell retched. Cats are left to lie in their in their own vomit and feces. Cats don’t receive proper medical attention. Craig “plays doctor” by diagnosing the cats himself and personally gives them medication and patches them up based on his “expert” knowledge. Cats are only taken to the vet as a last resort. Usually by this time the cats are too far gone. Instead of ending the suffering by humanely putting the cat to sleep, he elects to allow the cat to die a slow, painful death. Craig Grant, the operator, fits the classic signs of a hoarder. It’s estimated that Caboodle Ranch has taken in at least a thousand cats since its inception. However, recent visitors have reported seeing about 100 or less cats roaming the grounds. Cats are dying at alarming rates. Several people have taken cats there and changed their minds and went to retrieve them in as little as 24 hours to find that the cat(s) was/were nowhere to be found. Major killers of the cats are coyote attacks, upper respiratory infections, Felv/FIV, being hit by cars, and shot and poisoned by neighbors. Go to www.facebook.com/caboodleranch.savethekitties (no account required) if you would like concrete evidence of animal neglect and abuse at Caboodle Ranch. You will find eye witness testimonies and reports from officials and experts under the discussion tab. There are also photos and videos but be forewarned that they may be disturbing to some.

  • In response to the huge negative post above, you are a sick person. Have you ever been there? You comments are degrading and flat out lies. Yes, there are sick cats; because they come this way. You are being insulting to the photographer, the magazine, the vets that check the animals, Humane Society that supports him, and everyone who has actually done something for another creature. Crawl back under your rock and leave good people alone.

  • Let it be known that Caboodle is trying to take care of the people who are running that malicious facebook page which was started by a deranged homeless person named Sarah who was fired from working at Caboodle due to the fact that she was a danger to the other workers and the cats. Since being fired she has spread awful, and untrue rumors and takes pictures of dead cats pretending that they are from the ranch (which they are not since she is legally not allowed within 300 ft. of the place.) ignore her ugly madness, and know that I have talked to many, many people who visit their cats annually and see that they are happy and healthy.

  • I have never been invited back - in fact - the acceptance of my cats wasn't "unconditional" in any respect. I truly feared for their safety as I was leaving - in tears - but, had NO way to retrieve them either.

  • TRACI and MEGAN...get you facts straight before you go bashing people who are truly giving factual information. Yes, these people have been to Caboodle Ranch. Yes, these people have returned to Caboodle Ranch to visit their cats, only to find that they were no longer there. The pictures are real and taken at Caboodle Ranch, also they are not "Photoshop" altered as Nanette does for Caboodle Ranch's pictures. Until you actually experience what those people have experienced from Caboodle Ranch, keep your ugly ass hole in that face of yours shut. YOU are the 'flat out liars', and you must condone animal abuse and neglect. I'd hate to be your pets..poor things. I'd just love to run into you in a dark alley one night...let you experience what a lot of those poor cats have experienced by being taken to lying, false advertising CABOODLE RANCH!

  • Oh, and one more thing, the cats do NOT come to Caboodle Ranch in the horrible conditions that they end up in. Quit your lying. It WILL catch up with you, because you know the truth and we know the truth. Do you think for one second that any of those who lost their cats to Caboodle Ranch are not 'trying to take care of you (all in conspiracy with Caboodle Ranch and their deceitful lies)' as well? Profiting off of all those poor, unsuspecting people who have had to find a place for their cat(s) due to their illnesses, becoming too elderly to be able to care for them, etc., trusting that they found paradise and safety in Caboodle Ranch. Only they weren't near enough or weren't healthy enough to ever return to see that their cats are no longer there, BUT are still sending money to Caboodle Ranch-and of course nobody will ever tell them that their cat is no longer there, or what exactly happened to their cat. No, couldn't have that, could we? That'd blow all that extra spending money!! Only one word left to say- KARMA!

  • My cat, Sheba, certainly sees me lrpmariiy as a source of food, whether that extends to eating me if I were her last resort I'm not sure. I forgive her for being such a selfish feline because of her friendship with my dog, Tacker. They have been together since both were six weeks old. She follows him on our morning walks, and the two mooch and sniff around companionably together. Evenings when we return in the car from our beach walk she sits on the garden wall waiting to welcome him home, and pounces on him to wrestle around for the few minutes before supper appears. She joins us on our late night toilet sortie too and ambushes Tacker in the shadows from behind trees, playing chasey with him along the safer stretches of the street.I love them both, of course, but Tacker loves me back for more than food and shows it all the time. So I can comfortably vote for Tacker here, knowing that Sheba could care less.
